My father, Bob R. is overwhelmed with the situation. He will I'm sure become exhausted from the drive to and from the hospital from the foothills to Presbyterian Hospital downtown. When I spoke with him today he specifically mentioned anxiety about going to the grocery store and I know he doesn't cook.
My son is getting married in Maine in 10 days so I am unable to fly out to help.
Can your organization provide a helper to give him a hand. He is very independent and is doing well health wise.

You should also encourage him to speak with the social worker at the hospital . She may be in touch with local resources.

Be sure to check out Meals on Wheels if it's available in your dad's area and also online grocery store ordering, from companies like Peapod. They'll deliver grocery orders to your door. Good luck!!

Beckit, you should get in touch with the Area Agency on Aging in dad's county. This is an online support group.
