Find Care & Housing
I would contact his health care provider and explain what has happened. Your father needs an evaluation by a neuropsychiatrist for medication adjustment for his condition. THis may require an admission to a senior behavioral health unit.

IF you do not have POA, this is the time when his doctor and and the legal system can walk you through how to deem him incompetent and allow you to become his guardian.
It is unfortunate that your health care provider has not prepared you for this type of behavior from your father.

This is a difficult time for you, with assistance from your doctor, i hope that this will resolve soon. And that you will be safe. The important thing is that your dad needs proper treatment before you get hurt physically.

Depending on where you live, you should get a capacity assessor to come and make a home visit to make an assessment to show whether she is capable or not. A doctor's note about the diagnosis will also help. It should not have gotten to the point where you are in court. Are you the power of attorney? If not, again, get a capacity assessor to see if dad is capable of taking care of his personal care and finances. If not, once the government takes over, you can apply for guardianship and become the legal guardian.

I think the best to is go to court and get a letter from his doctor with his diagnosis. And also talk to his doctor about him being abusive. My mother did the same thing, but she would do it to my father, until one day she got really abusive she had to be admitted to where they adjusted her meds.
