Please call your physician and ask him for a referral so you can have a session or two with a licensed therapist to comb out what your needs and choices are. Often Licensed Social Workers who are specially trained in life transitions work are just the ones to listen and help guide you. I wish you luck.

Try and find a local caregivers support group(you can Google it)as most are still meeting on Zoom. I believe AARP also offers a support group for caregivers, as does the Alzheimer's Association.

I belong to a local caregivers support group(have for about 3 years now)and it was a life saver for me. My husband has been dead for 8 months now, and I still join them, as now I am in a position to not only listen, but when needed give words of advise and also encouragement.

There are coaching programs that will listen and help you strategize how to solve your problems.
