Find Care & Housing
Be careful about self employed caregivers. You must pay them legally to protect your Medicaid benefits should you ever need them. Meaning a care contract, taxes withheld, workmen's comp, etc. Self employed may be a bit cheaper, but needs to be done correctly. Home workers, according to IRS, are nearly always employees. Get with an elder law attorney to do this legally.

Search this site for an article "Paying for Home Care". There is a link on the home page of this site. Also, call your area agency on aging.

If you're a Veteran please contact the VA to see if there are any benefits you can utilize. Also call your local area's Agency on Aging, and then social services for your county (are you currently on SSDI?) If you are a member of a church you can contact the main office and see if they can put out an appeal to the church body for voluteers. You can join Nextdoor.com and put out an appeal to your actual neighborhood.
