I have a neighbor that I have not seen over 4 years. She was diagnosed with dementia several years ago and then later on developed Alzheimer. She had a government person that was her legal custodian. One day they all of a sudden moved her out and advised me that she needed to be placed in a nursing home for her safety. They did not want to advise me where she is located. Now I have dreams about her. Not sure if she died. So how do I have out if she died or is still in the nursing home?

Another idea is to contact the county. If a "government" person was charged with her care, that would be someone from the county. You might get some information there.

You can also try FindAGrave.com, they have it where you can search using the person's name. Best to use first name and last name, skip the middle initial. Skip the dates unless the person has a common name. If you knew when she was born, put that in.

Another way is to type her first and last name into Google, then put a comma then the word obit.

If you know someone who is on Ancestry.com, they can run a search.

If there were no immediate relatives, you may not find any information. I noticed fewer and fewer people are doing obits, many out of privacy.

Look up her name on Legacy.com to see if there was an obituary for her.
