Mom has done things in past to question. She asked me if her son was dead and why no one told her...been dead a few years. I just answer her then she comes back in few days and tells me I don't know why I asked that. She does this with a lot of things. She has played wolf, so how do I know if she's confused or playing wolf?

Find Care & Housing
Janet, it can be really hard to pick, especially if your game-player is good at the game. I traveled 12,000 miles for the last visit to my father, who was a master at it. I talked to the Manager of his facility, who found it a real relief to find that I also suspected that most of his stories were imagination. However I thought that in some ways he had actually talked him into the problems he was faking. I’d say listen to your gut feeling, and don’t be overly helpful if you have doubts.

Just say, for the sake of the argument, that it could be proved beyond any doubt that your mother IS faking all this for attention.

What would you do differently, in that case?
