My pastor's father took sick and his biological children had taken him to the hospital, when he was to return home or go to rehab, his wife and step children prevented the biological children from seeing their father. What can be done the father is used to seeing his children daily and now his health is failing and he is requesting to see them but no one will allow the visit. There is no POA signed by the wife or the stepchildren.

How do they know he is asking for them? I'd say they get police escort if they know and have evidence this is being done to him against his will. You said health failing, not mind failing, though eithe way it sounds very inhumane on the face of it. Where does your pstor stand in this? Sad, but church people are not immune to this sort of thing....

Thank you for responding. My pastor is very distraught, he had contact with his father sometime last week because his father had requested to speak with him until the non-biological sibling hung the phone up. The father was taken to the hospital and the hospital had contacted the biological children then apologized and stated they made a mistake and cannot release information. My pastor's sister went to the hospital and spoke with administration voicing that the hospital called her, it was at that point that the hospital said they could not give out information and that no patient was listed under the family name. I have contacted the State Attorney General's office to speak with and have one of their attorneys speak with my pastor. My pastor has also contacted the states Dept Soc. Services and Division of Health and Human Services. I have also contacted one of our state representatives in Congress as well as our county and city council. It's a long drawn out mess, but with God's help and the truth justice will prevail though it may not come when we desire. Thank you for you support. God Bless you.

Go to Adult Protective Services. They have power and they can straighten everything out.
