My mom is always making herself fall, but now she say she is making tents for her kids, so she is always on the floor, when i try to get her up she hits me and say she is having fun, but i am worry that one day i would not be able to get her up and she is having fun she is all happy, she dose not know who i am now and when she dose see me she calls me the b word, i am here by myself and the only one who takes care of her, i have call everyone i was told to call about putting her in a home but they say she makes too much money, but not enough to get her in a nursing home so now i just take care of her the best i can, but i do worry about everything thank you.

There is something called a Miller Trust. If Mom gets too much money whatever she makes over the allowed amount can be put in this trust account. Then she will qualify for Medicaid and you can get her in a nursing home.

You can also call Adult Protective Services and tell them Mom is violent and you can’t care for her any longer because you’re afraid she will hurt you or herself.

Stop trying to pick her up off the floor. If you think she has fallen and hurt herself, call 911. If she does hurt herself and is hospitalized tell the social worker or the nurses that you cannot care for her at home and don’t take her back. If you don’t already have Power of Attorney, get it. I got mine on Legalzoom.com for $40.

Hi Helpneedit,
I agree with you there, this is harder then I thought too. My Mom cries everyday that she doesn't want to leave everyone and she don't want to die, but then smokes cigarettes that will cause her Tia's and strokes! She already had two strokes and who knows how many Tia's.

Hang in there Love. If Mom's happy on the floor, leave her to it. It could always be a lot worse.

Lots of Huggz 🤗

Oh my!

My mil, who's over the age of 80, was saying over and over today that she was getting ready to go to school. Among other things.

My husband, her son, said she was finally asleep so, like he did earlier today, I threatened to wake her and he said she was like a child, getting over tired and all. WELL AWARE!
