sharae, the vast majority of grown children do not get paid for taking care of a relative... unless that relative can pay you himself from his own retirement fund.
Otherwise, see if your Uncle can qualify for Medicaid [which is different from Medicare] as some States have programs where a family caregiver can get paid, but the pay would be quite minimal.
Talk with an Elder Law Attorney in your state. Medicaid has home care programs that may make it possible for you to continue providing care for your uncle. Is he a veteran? If yes, check on Aid & Attendance pension, starting with many articles here on AgingCare.com
