She was scheduled to come home to hospice care after 2 weeks . The social worker got all her financial records upon lawyers advice to to do so, so they could file for Medicaid. But as she was leaving I asked when she could come home and she said she wanted to stay and was able to make her own decisions. I haven't seen my mother and only talked to her by phone after many attempts ..I tried to visit but was told to wait outside, they called the law and said I threatened to not leave without her. He told me I was being investigated by adult protective services. I managed to talk to her and she said yes she did want to stay but she does have acute Alzheimer's and has always stated she did not want to go to nursing home. What can I do?
"Moved in with mot.her 3 years ago she has aortic anyuerism, and has had breast cancer...she does not leave the house and she is very abusive to me,making me leave the house only to beg me back I do everything for her and she stays and sleeps on the sofa ..I can't take much more and I don't know what to do"
I guess I'm confused why you want to bring your mother home, given your assessment of your relationship with her.
Could you also explain how an attorney became involved, and why he/she recommended obtaining financial records? Was this really for Medicaid, or was something else going on, based on your profile indicating an abusive relationship and based on advice (apparently from a police person?) as to investigation of you by APS?
Or was your mother considering Medicaid application before her hospitalization and that's why an attorney is involved?
You posted this on your profile:

Why do you want to bring her home?
