Find Care & Housing
GrannysMommy, it is not unusual for a person who is in their 90s to be doing a lot of sleeping/napping.... they are tired, they lived a very long life. When someone get up to that age, every year is like another 10.

My parents would nap through most of the day. Dad just couldn't stay wake to read the newspaper or watch TV. Mom would awake from a nap to prepare lunch and dinner. They would putter around the house. Heavens, I am in my 70's and I find myself dozing off in front of the TV during the day when I am not at work.

It's just part of life.

So true freqflyer, it's not a bad thing to sleep extra. Probably good for recovery & ability to do tasks. Everyone is different in that respect.🌷

Hi, it's great that your mom still wants to eat & can toilet herself! Just be thankful for that, & see if her labs were low for iron, or vitamins. Otherwise, it sounds like she's doing quite a lot better than some 90 yr olds.
