NMom was dx'd in 2017 with mid-stage VD. She presents extremely well. She is so cunning and manipulative!!! Last Tuesday I got 2 loaves of bread. She is borderline diabetic so I am monitoring her carbs. Thursday I noticed both loaves are half eaten. She knows exactly what she is doing!!! She deliberately did that hoping I would not notice!!! Urgh...Rant off! In years to come, I will laugh about it but I am pissed right now! :D
Please share your stories...I need a good laugh! :D
Learn all you can about dementia, then when Mom goes into the next stages you won't be surprised. Go to the blue/green bar at the top of the page.... click on CARE TOPICS.... click on Alzheimer's/dementia as there is a store house of information.
Some will eat, forget they ate & so eat again & again.
Others say Oh I've just eaten, when clearly they have not.
I imagine diabetes adds another dimension of cravings too.
It's now October, and from this post it seems that your mother is still living with you. What happened to her going to a different AL?
