The incontinence issue will be tricky. My MIL is incontinent in LTC and they have to catheterize her to collect a clean sample and therefore get an accurate test result. Even if you could pull off a perfect test and accurate result...if he tests positive where will you get the antibiotics? Maybe discuss this with his doctor to see what he/she has any ideas.

You can use the dipsticks you get in the drug store, and anywhere it hits the urine stream is OK. But they are not something you want to really rely one completely. This will be easier if you have a urinal that you can leave in place also, but clean it well. You will not be able to get a clean catch urine. You do have an ordering doctor? You may want to ask advice. Some people try to do the dipstick periodically to see if there are any indications of a problem. Even if positive you will need a real specimen.

AZO has test strips.

I love the hat but he would need to sit down. It fits over the seat hole. He goes and then you take the hat and pour the contents into small jar. But, it cannot be contaminated like he tends to do a #2 in the hat too.

I have been able to ask the doctor if I can do the test from home. They provide everything to me. I had to do this with Mom.
