EVERY state, I repeat, every state has caregiver programs. There is financial assistance in every state. Every state has at least one medicaid program that pays family caregivers. Most states will
pay a minimum of 20 hours a week.
2 states will pay for 24 hour care. Some states have multiple Medicaid programs and non-Medicaid programs. Contact your area aging to see what is available in your county.

The overwhelming number of family caregivers are not paid at all.

if the person you are caregiver for can afford it...then that person pays you. Be sure to get a written contract signed.

there are some State level assistance, but not every State, and rare if ever will it pay for more than a few hours a week....not an income you could live on.

Usually only if setup legally and the one you are caring for has the resources to do so.
